This exhibit celebrates the contributions of African American women who through their inventions and innovations have made a positive impact on society.
Ayanna Howard- is an educator, researcher, and innovator. She has made significant contributions in the technology areas of artificial intelligence, computer vision, and robotics. She is the School Chair for Interactive Computing, at Georgia Institute of Technology.
Donna Auguste- is a business woman, entrepreneur, inventor, and philanthropist. While working as a senior engineering manager at Apple Computer, she received a patent for the Newton Personal Digital Assistant (PDA). As founder and CEO of Freshwater software, she sold the company for $147 million dollars. After retiring, she founded the “Leave a Little Room Foundation, LLC”, a philanthropic organization that helps poor and underprivileged around the world.
